I am Dr. Engr. Hafiz Saleem Iqbal, Founder and CEO of Smart Materials Solutions. I hold a PhD in Aerospace Materials from Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from UET Lahore, Pakistan. I have spent more than 17 years in strategic research organizations and academia, where I had the privilege to contribute to more than 20 research publications in leading international journals. My professional journey has always been guided by a passion for innovation and real-world problem solving — and SMS is a natural continuation of that mission.
Our Journey & Vision
Smart Materials Solutions was founded with a clear vision — to deliver high-performance insulation products that make homes, industries, and communities more energy-efficient, comfortable, and sustainable. What began as a research-driven initiative has now evolved into a trusted brand known for quality, innovation, and reliability.
Our products, such as Water Tank Thermal Cover, SmartShield Water Tank Thermal Jacket, Water Tank with Built-in Insulation (InsuTank), Gyeser Thermal Cover and other thermal covers, are designed specifically for the harsh climatic conditions of Pakistan and the Middle East. These solutions help customers maintain optimal water temperature in both hot summers and cold winters, conserve energy, and prolong the life of water tanks.
