Note: Before you go through our products detail, It is very important to understand that heat coming from the sun has two parts; radiation heat and conduction heat. Reflective aluminum foil can only control radiation heat which is 20 to 30% of the total heat. To stop the heat flow through conduction, insulation material with minimum 1 inch thickness is must. Without adding any insulation material, water tanks cannot be completely insulated for best results.
Do not be misguided by 97% radiation reflectivity as all websites have mentioned it online. We also have mentioned here 97% radiation reflectivity for both SmartShield and Thermal Cover. 97% radiation reflectivity mean only 20 to 30% temperature control. For maximum temperature control, at least 1 inch thick insulation material need to be used along with reflective aluminum foil.

Whether its PPRC (plastic pipe) or GI (Metal pipe), when they are exposed on the roof top in direct sunlight gets very hot and water flowing through these pipes can’t be used. Similarly, in winter, water gets too cold to be used without heating. This increases the heating cost of water and thus increases the overall gas bills. In many areas of Pakistan, gas is not readily available in winter and electric heating of water is done which is even more expensive.
To keep the water at normal temperature both in summer and winter and to reduce energy cost of water cooling in summer and water heating in winter, pipe insulation is an effective solution. Pipe insulation and tank insulation (Source Tank) helps to reduce the cooling load on both chiller plants and RO plants and increases the life of compressor as well due decrease in running time of the compressor.
